Generative AI models have been radically transforming architectural visualization practices since 2023. Text-to-image generation models like Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and DALL-E make it possible to transform a concept into photorealistic visuals within seconds.

In REACTO's design process, generative AI models are used intensively, especially during the early concept phase. Architects pass hand sketches or simple 3D massing models through ControlNet and Canny Edge processors, allowing the AI to interpret these templates with different material, texture, and lighting scenarios. This method reduces a traditional concept development process from two weeks to two days.

Prompt engineering has become an essential skill for effective use of generative AI tools. The quality of an AI-generated image largely depends on the prompt structure: material definitions, lighting conditions, camera angle, lens type, color palette, and reference artists. REACTO has developed a specialized library for optimizing these prompts.
